PRACTICUM 9
we study glass cutting by a template, 123 MB

At this workshop, we begin to get acquainted with a particularly difficult method of cutting - curved cutting of glass along a closed contour, that is, cutting along a pattern, or template. For high-quality curved cutting, four things are necessary: a good template, a good glass cutter, a steady hand and, most importantly, information on how to do it correctly. This is exactly the information we share with you in this lesson. We will be with you to cut your first oval glass!

Where do you need to take the cutting position?
Where to start and end the cut?
How should you move during the cutting process so that the hand with the glass cutter does not stop?
How to make a continuous enclosed cut of glass?
How do I start and end a cut at one point?
And, finally, how to remove the cut oval safe and sound?

See Workshop 9 for answers to these questions.

PRACTICUM 10
rules for cutting a polyhedron, 139 MB

Here we will teach you how to cut polyhedra correctly. In this workshop, we will cut out the correct octahedron according to the pattern. PRACTICUM 11
making a template for edging glass, trimming the edge of the mirror, 209 MB

In this workshop, we will learn how to make a template for trimming glass edges. It will always be required, since very often you have to cut off the damaged edge of the glass, especially at the mirror.
Next, we will show you how to properly cut a damaged mirror edge using this template, and using the same template you will learn how to quickly cut identical strips of glass for design mirrors.

PRACTICUM 12
cut out a large oval mirror, 401 MB

In this lesson, we teach you how to cut a large oval mirror and then trim the edge. How should the table be positioned? What position does the cutter need to take in order to seamlessly cut the entire oval according to the template and finish at the starting point of the cut? How to hold and guide the glass cutter while cutting? What preparatory activities are required for a flawless result? How to remove a cut-out mirror without damage? You will learn all this at this workshop.

PRACTICUM 13
features of cutting corrugated glass, 231 MB

In this workshop you will learn how to cut corrugated glass. When cutting "corrugated tape" there are some peculiarities that you need to know. Together with you, we will cut a strip of corrugated glass 4 mm wide! Then you will learn the technique of curved cutting "by hand", without a template, since corrugated glasses often have to be cut "approximately" along the marker line, moreover, along a very winding line, since corrugated inserts (mainly in doors) have the most unexpected configuration. The difficulty lies in the fact that corrugated glass is very, very fragile, and breaks in the most unexpected places, usually where it is not needed! Before your eyes, our master will cut out a piece of glass with a curvature of less than 90 degrees and, of course, will teach you how to do it. We are carefully watching and learning aerobatics!
