Matting with paste and liquid at the same time.
This page shows how to combine IVSATIN paste and glass decorating fluid.
For example, take the usual cheap shot glass.
Stick a stencil on it.
Then we matte the silhouette of the swan with paste.
After 15 minutes, wash the stack with soap and water. We get a matte pattern.
In principle, the product can be considered finished. We made a shot glass with a frosted pattern. At this stage, if desired, you can paint the resulting matte pattern while the stencil is still on the glass (this is described in the article about painting the surface of frosted glass). But we will not paint over the silhouette of the swan, on the contrary, we will cover the entire remaining clean background with IVSATIN liquid. From the inside we will now start matting the shot glass by pouring IVSATIN liquid unto the top of the brim. We are matting with the liquid from the inside, because we know the property of frosted glass - it becomes transparent when wet.
If a dry shot glass looks almost completely uniformly matte, then with the liquid poured, the inner (frosted) surface becomes translucent, and the shotglass looks like it already has a pattern.
