How to matte a large area of glass with IVSATIN paste.
For matting a large area of glass, it is better to use paste in a more liquid consistency. In order to obtain the desired viscosity of the paste, it is necessary to add IVSATIN matting liquid to it. Along the perimeter of the glass or mirror, place strips of plasticine on three sides to prevent the paste from flowing out (two short and one long in the image) 1.5-2 centimeters high. On the same level, next to the glass (mirror) that will be treated with the paste; we place a piece of even plastic in the same width or unneeded glass, (sealed with a film) so that the paste does not react with it. The figure shows the method of applying the paste.
Over the entire width of the picture, the paste is applied with a margin, unspared. The paste is distributed in one motion over the stencil using a long made plastic spatula, for example, from a wall-mounted plastic panel. It is advisable to work with an assistant who will help and apply the paste to places that were accidentally missed with a small spatula. The thicker the paste layer, the more reliable. The less risk of it being marred in the form of slightly frosted glass. The paste layer is about 5-7 millimeters. After applying the paste, it is recommended that you immediately hit the glass in the back rib area with your hand several times. The paste is instantly evenly distributed over the surface. Then the plasticine strip is removed from the wide side. And with the help of the same spatula (only short), the paste is raked into a plastic container. Then, very quickly tearing off the connecting strip (yellow film in the diagram), the mirror is placed vertically and washed thoroughly (preferably from the hose) with a sponge and soap.
